Job Description: Senior Scientist/Engineer, Optical Films
Liquidia Technologies Inc. is a privately-held nanotechnology company that designs, develops, and manufactures precisely engineered particles and films for a wide variety of life and materials science applications. Liquidia's proprietary PRINT™ platform is unique in its ability to replicate and produce nanoscale features with independent control of feature size, shape, and composition.
We are currently looking for a Senior Scientist/Engineer for Optical Films to play a leading role in advancing our materials science prototyping and daily optical films fabrication efforts. The Senior Scientist/Engineer for Optical films will work in a fast-paced environment to advance internal and collaborative product development efforts. Full-time positions are available.
Description:
The Senior Optical Engineer will assist the Liquidia Optical Films team with key research and development activities. Primary responsibilities include:

Apply unique skills and experience to the research and development of micro- and nano-structured films for specific products and applications |
 |
Work with customers on joint research and development projects |
 |
Work in a hands-on laboratory environment to fabricate micro- and nano-featured films |
 |
Develop and deliver customer-ready samples of precisely engineered optical films |
 |
Support internal R&D efforts and contribute to new product development |
 |
Advance internal and collaborative product development efforts |
Requirements:
 |
Must be detail-oriented, a creative problem-solver, highly self-motivated, and willing to work in a hands-on environment |
 |
5+ years industry experience in optical films, displays, or related industry |
 |
Advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science related field |
 |
Ability to work independently and as a team |
 |
Experience with optical measurements, cleanroom tools and processing |
 |
Experience with AFM and/or SEM |
 |
Nanofabrication experience |
